Memorial Bench Program

The Memorial Bench Program provides the opportunity for community members to honor a loved one, celebrate a special event, or recognize an organization that has made a difference in the community. The memorial bench program enhances the aesthetics of city parks and gives visitors pleasure throughout the lifetime of the bench. 

You may select the specific park for your bench donation. You may also request a particular area with the park; however, the Parks Department will determine the bench's exact location. 

Locations include:

• Beal Park (5200 W. Wall St.) 
• Trinity Park (3900 St. Andrews Dr.) 
• Wadley-Barron Park (1001 N. A St.) 
• Washington Park (1803 E. Indiana Ave.) 

You may request another city park, but it will be subject to approval. 

The bench donation fee of $2,500 covers the cost of a six-foot bench with a plaque, installation, and a certificate of recognition.

Once your application is received, you will be contacted by the City of Midland Parks Division with information on payment and the determination of bench location. You will not be required to send payment until the bench location is determined.
